The time has come for us to celebrate our 100th anniversary. Since 1910, Fruhauf Uniforms has been distinguished by its colorful competition winners dressed with unique themes. Fruhauf uniforms are remembered for their dash of dazzle and respected for their quality and military like crispness.
The Fruhauf tradition was built on the expertise of four generations:
The entrepreneurial wisdom of founder Herman Fruhauf. Herman began his career after the turn of the century, manufacturing ceremonial dress for lodge and fraternal organizations, and designing band uniforms for town bands and circuses.
The legacy is born with Herman's son Lou. Combining his musical and artistic talents, Lou began making band uniforms during the Great Depression. His innovations in scrollwork and design originated many industry standards we use today.
The commitment to individuality continued by Ludwig's son, Fred. He grew up in the company, working at a young age and traveling to our customers to design and even deliver the final product. After serving with the United States Navy during World War II, Fred continued his love of music and band uniforms by playing in local jazz hot spots and manufacturing band uniforms with his father, and later his sons, Kenneth and Richard.
Our new advertising campaign is getting great reviews. At the American Advertising Federation of Wichita Addy Awards, the Fruhauf Uniform ad received a Bronze Addy for our advertising agency, Jajo Inc. We congratulate them for a job well done. Also watch for further updates to our advertising and Web site; Fruhauf Uniforms is very excited to bring these additions to our customers.
Fruhauf Uniforms is the only multi-generation, original-family-owned band uniform manufacturer in the country today.
